@bdillon16 Unfortunately MV can’t pass 1st Base on the World stage (The AU have passed it twice .. for the Asian GF and the Asian QF). The only logical conclusion is that without the Melbourne Centric infrastructure setup by FFA, they’re just and ordinary, dillusional team. On the World Stage a team must win on merit not an unfair weight advantage. Look at the ALeague table again! How many home games does MV when playing the AU. That’s right … 100% MORE! Now .. is that LUCK OF THE DRAW
@bdillon16 I’ve got to admit … you’re good. But, the fact is, The AU did get to the FIFA Club World Cup and did come 5th as the most successful Club in the World. Until another Australian Club can do the same … then you have to concede defeat and acknowledge, through logical conclusion, that The AU are the most successful Australian Club in the history of Australian Football. Now, MV have a 3rd chance to do the same, or better … let’s hope they do … this time.
@Culminatr
when you think about it 20 teams from epl spain italy and 18 from germany
which is 78 potential europian teams
theres about 20 potential asian teams
about 20 potential american/ south american teams
and about 10 potential african teams to play at the cup
and adelaide werent ment to even play in it… they got lucky the japan were hosting the cup and that gamba osaka won the J-League so use only made it because use were runners up
South Melbourne are the best team in australia
@bdillon16 cheeky bugger! Mate, only the TOP 7 clubs made it to the FIFA Club World Cup out of thousands, tens of thousands, from around the world. Now … with that perspective … The AU IS the most successful Club in Australia.
@Culminatr
you came 5th out of 7 teams, well done:S
melbourne victory have won two minor premierships,,
you might want to fix your discription
MV – most successful club in the A-League? What rubbish. They only do go on Australian soil with all the Melbourne centric bias of the A-League bent in their favour. And most of the games you won with The AU was Mathew Breeze, your 12th player. The most successful club in the A-League is The AU. Went to the GF on the Asia International arena. Came 5th in the FIFA Champions World Cup. And went to the finals play-offs in Asia last year. No other club has come close! MV fall apart internationally.
