ANGE UNSURE ON OFFER
Brisbane Roar coach Ange Postecoglou has said that he will make a decision whether to take up the offer from Melbourne Victory. Ange Postecoglou won the A-league with Brisbane Roar in what has turned out to be a fantastic season.
Now, he is all set to make a decision whether to stay with Brisbane Roar or move to Melbourne Victory for the start of the new season. The rumours surrounding his future, though, indicate that Postecoglou will be a Melbourne Victory coach next season. Melbourne Victory are thought to have made one of the best offers for the man who led Brisbane Roar to a 2-1 win over Perth Glory in the final of the A-League.
Brisbane Roar finished in second position in the A-League table, while the club pursuing Postecoglou had a terrible season. Melbourne Victory finished in the eighth position in the table, which did not allow them to have a chance to play for the final victory. Postecoglou also won the title last season, but has said that this title will go a long way in his memory due to the fact that it was nerve racking. Despite losing a number of high profile players like captain Matt McKay, Brisbane Roar have done extremely well to win the Championship this season.
“It’s definitely more satisfying because we’ve done it this way. It’s a difficult ask and these boys have worked really bloody hard to get where we are. We’ll have some talks (with Roar officials) this week, and I’m sure there will be a resolution this week and we will move on from there. Right now I’m enjoying being the coach of the championship-winning side,” Postecoglou said after winning the title with Brisbane Roar. The club also now become the first to win back-to-back titles in the A-League.
