Arsenal qualified for the Champions League and Wenger is getting ready
Arsenal are guaranteed that they will be finishing in at least the 4th spot of the Premier League in this season and this is enough for them to snatch a Champions League qualification spot for their upcoming campaign.
Arsene Wenger is a continuous target of criticism as the Frenchman fails to push Arsenal to the Premier League title and it has not been any different this time around as it was Leicester City which came out on top and won the English league but Arsenal has consistently been able to compete in the Champions League and the Premier League club will be competing once again for the 19th successive season.
The French coach of Arsenal has revealed minor details in relation to the approaching summer transfer window as he is already preparing his team for the next season and a few signings are expected to take place as he said: ‘’We have to add something defensively as a team to be more ruthless. I don’t think we are soft but yes, we need to toughen up. In some games we were caught, but a lot of the teams have the same problem.”
It seems like Arsene Wenger is thinking about reinforcing the defensive department of his squad and another thing that is on the priority list of the Frenchman is to keep hold of Alexis Sanchez. It’s rumored that Sanchez is not happy in Arsenal after having undergone a disappointing season; reports have emerged claiming that he might leave in the summer transfer window and Juventus along with Bayern Munich are interested in signing the Chilean midfielder but Wenger wants to keep hold of the highly-rated player for a few more years.
Alexis Sanchez is believed to be eager to start winning big titles and major competitions but this does not seem to be happening anytime soon with Arsenal but a transfer to a top club such as Bayern Munich can help the Chilean in achieving one of his dreams.
