Fast forward to 0:54 if you want to see goals worth watching.
Absolutely nothing special about that first penalty kick…even I could do that…on the other hand, those long shots are beautiful
How is a penalty one of the best goals?
@CoconutCoutains It was actually the other way around.

Wellington Phoenix are Legends

He can’t admit that – he’s English.
For God’s sake, he actually thinks Gerrard is worth a damn when he’s not a lying, diving crook.
i suppose, but you have to admit that foriegners are usually the stars in epl.
But having said that the main reson why Aston Villa are pretty good is because of Barry, Agbonlahor and Young, all English
main reason why everton is good is because of arteta, yakuba and cahill, all Foriegner.
best player in manchester united is portuguese.
gold coast united and nth qld fury will have some pretty awesome goals soon.
That brings me back to my point on Gerrard, Lampard, Ferdinand, Terry etc. World class players each regular, consistent players to the top 4 teams. Gerrard is quite easily Liverpool’s best player, as are Terry and Lampard to Chelsea.
So in essence you’re still dodging my point.
I honestly wouldn’t care so much, about any league’s foreign capacity, however without the EPL’s foreign contingent it would be sitting pretty in the top 10, instead of being regarded as number one by plenty of people.
My point is that without ITS foreigners, the EPL is nothing, on the other hand, without its foreigners, the A-League is still roughly where it is now: a fresh league moving step by step in the right direction.
I didn’t criticise the a league because of foriegn players. I said that it had to gain influence from players in their late 30’s for recognition. e.g. Romario, Robbie Fowler, Dwight Yorke etc. Having said that it is probably a wise thing to do considering that the a league is only a couple of years old. But that is no excuse for you to criticise the EPL on what in my opinion was a pretty lame and desperate comment.
I don’t need a few days to think about it because i know that i’m right. In answer to your question i think i’d prefer having one of the top league’s in the world despite having a large amount of foreign players.
Rather than a league of poor quality and overaged players who couldn’t make it into a lower english league reserve team.
I reckon that at least 99% of all football fans would agree with me.
What’s worse?
A league in its infancy, trying to entice a non-footballing nation to watch its product by introducing foreigners into their league?
OR
To be considered one of the top leagues in the world, solely because the talent you lure from overseas is better than what you can produce at home?
I’ll give you a few days to think about it, Mr. Creator Of Organised Modern Football, then we’ll see what tripe you can come back with.
Again, you’re missing the point.
The EPL wouldn’t be anywhere near the top if it weren’t for the FOREIGNERS that inhabit the league. The only reason most consider the EPL the top league in the world, apart from the fact that the EPL is one of the more whored out leagues on the planet, is for the exact same reason you decided to insult the Australian A-League in the first place:
It’s foreign contingent.
So again, I ask you, considering you didn’t answer me the first time…
Although the top 4 is dominated by ManU, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool other teams such as Aston Villa and Everton have become far stronger this season and have both been top 4 contenders (The majority of their players actually English.) I know that they have both been knocked out of the Uefa cup by other European teams, but that doesn’t make them less good. It just proves that they put domestic glory before European glory.
It’s just a fact that at least over 95%of people in the world who actually know anything about football, say that the EPL is the best league in teh world. And know i’m not saying that because i’m English. This season has been one of the most competetive seasons ever both at the top and at the bottom that alone has made it much more entertaining than any other league.
strong, from top to bottom.
Without the influx of foreigners into the English game, you’d STILL be watching 90 minutes of long balls resulting in a 0-0 match that you so thoroughly enjoy.
The English technical game or English short passing game are two oxymorons that are laughed at by people who watch better leagues.
Just because the Premiership draws top players with their money, doesn’t mean that the league, overall, is better than other leagues. All the top players are between 5 clubs.
You’d rather watch a 0-0 Premier League game because you’re English. Unfortunately you’re conditioned to believe that the Englishmen playing in the league are of a great international quality and that their foreign counterparts are nothing but dead weight.
Tell me something, who, realistically, beyond Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are capable of competing in a prestigious tournament?
Beyond those four teams, the entire Premiership is rubbish, whilst most other leagues are
