Melbourne Victory might make a move for Greek defender Vangelis Moras.

The latter currently plays for Italian club Hellas Veronas and has reportedly agreed to leave the club. It is believed that the discussions have reached an advance stage and that a decision will be taken very soon.

He will be an ideal replacement for MatthieuDelipierre, who has announced his retirement at the end of the season. Melbourne Victory was looking for a quality defender that possesses a good experience of high-level football in order to replace the French defender. Vangelis Moras has extensive knowledge of European football after having played at Swansea, Bologna, and Hellas Veronas.

During his time at Hellas Veronas, he has managed to make 131 appearances for the team and even helped them to win promotion to Serie A. Vangelis Morashas adapted quickly to life in Serie A and has kept improving with his team.

Last season has been quite difficult for Hellas Veronas and they ended the season with a relegation to Serie B. This has prompted Vangelis Moras to look for a move away from the club and he has agreed to discuss with Melbourne Victory for a potential transfer.

There are reports that other clubs might also be interested in signing Moras. It is believed that another Italian club Crotone might be willing to sign the player. Crotone has just gained promotion to the Serie A and is looking to build a team that will allow them to fight for their place in the Italian league. Indeed Vangelis Moras will bring a lot of experience to any team that signs him.

Vangelis Moras already have some knowledge of Australian football after coming with the Greek team that played against Australia. However, he did not feature in the game that opposed the Greek to the Socceroos.
